Our Services for the Last 2 Months
Last Services
In the last 2 months we went to many churches praising God and taking the sermon also in which we were speaking mainly about What, Why and How to praise God.
Among those places and denominations we visited are the following churches: All Saints Cathedral, Faith Church, El-Methal Church, Shobra Evangelical church, Sharabia Ev.Church, Zeitoun Evangelical church and many others. In El-Methal Church in Shubra.
The team leader talked about the attitudes that we should not be filled with upon entering into the presence of God. This was through 3 stories from The Bible from Luke 7, 11 and 18.
The first story was about that Pharisee, who was in the presence of God and was criticizing people around him, he even judged Jesus Himself.
Do you come to church criticizing? Some people come to Church and and judge people around them saying: "This leader is wrong. That girl should not come to church again. This man is a sinner."?
Second story was about that Pharisee who was, though in the presence of God, very careful about the outside and not giving any attention to the inside of him.
He was furious that Jesus did not first wash before the meal. Some people do their best to appear in a very decent manner while they are not from the inside? Do you prefer to have appreciation from people while not giving importance to God's opinion, who does see what is inside your heart? The third story was dealing with those who go to church filles with "self righteousness" like those 2 persons that went up to the temple to pray.
We all know that story in Luke 18:9-14. Are you suffering from "self righteousness" which is preventing you from receiving God's blessings? If you find yourself in one of these stories, come to The Lord and ask Him to help you get rid of your criticizing to people. He can help you to get a new heart rather than only a good shape from outside. He can help you to look to Him rather than to look to your righteousness. The Lord does love you. He wants to meet with you and talk to you. When in the presence of God, take the chance and meet Him.
Take the chance and listen to what He wants to tell you. Take the chance and praise Him.
